The Girl Scouts Father/Daughter Dance

Molly just became a Daisy and it was finally her turn to go with her dad to the Girl Scout Father Daughter Dance. She was so excited! She had admired a blue polka dot dress that Madison had worn for Easter a few years ago and it fit her perfectly. I picked out a dress for Madison and luckily she loved it! She is starting to show her age with her clothing preferences. No more frilly pink for her. It makes me a little sad:( After at least an hour of painting nails, hot rollers and finishing touches, both beautiful girls were ready for the big night with their handsome dad. I get made fun of now for all that hair I had in high school. But I had lots of practice with it which helps with having three little girls. We went to church together then Duane and the girls joined the Oakes pair for some dinner. They had planned on a meal that was a little more upscale for the evening, but the wait was too long. So they ended up having burgers at Beef O'Brady's which was fine by the girls. This year Duane had double duty on the dance floor and there was a lot of dancing going on. I took the opportunity to take Mallory out to dinner. She chose Applebee's of course! It was so fun just to sit there with her one-on-one and just listen to her talk. So adorable! Duane was exhausted by the time they got home. Year after year he puts himself out there on the dance floor. Dancing is not one of his favorite past times, but he does it for his girls. And they love him for it. I was so happy that Molly had her chance to get all fancied up and have that special night with her daddy too. Soon enough Mallory will be right there too!
